Hey There

I'm John Skelton

As a child, I spent most of my days daydreaming of exotic journeys to faraway places, meeting people from all different cultures, and even possibly living in a foreign country one day. I turned that dream into a reality in college when I had the immense fortune of studying abroad in Italy for an entire year.

I absolutely fell in love with everything about the country: its culture, the art, the architecture, the landscapes, the people, the language, the food, and of course the fabulous wine. I ended up hanging my hat in Umbria, the “Green Heart of Italy”, where I lectured in the field of International Communications at a prestigious university for 15 years.

While living abroad, I traveled extensively throughout Europe, while venturing out to other exotic destinations such as Egypt and Brazil. One of my favorite things was to plan every last detail of a trip when my friends and family members would visit.

In 2015, I packed up my bags and moved home to Birmingham, Alabama, where I realized another dream: I translated my passion for travel into a business of my own. I have been able to curate unforgettable itineraries to all corners of the globe: from Italy to Japan, from Tanzania to Antarctica.  I strongly believe in the power of travel to transform lives, as well as the power of human connection, and look forward to sharing this with you.

I have always been passionate about exploring the world, getting off the beaten path, and learning as much as possible about other cultures and traditions, while crafting the perfect itinerary for myself and others.
